Politicians often claim to be conservative, as if conservative were always better. However, their views often aren’t conservative at all:

• Ignoring climate change; that’s not conservative.
• Defaulting on debt: that’s not conservative,
• Assaulting the Capitol; that’s not conservative.
• Weakening public education; that’s not conservative.
• Establishing religion; that’s not conservative.
• Thirty thousand lies in four years; that’s not conservative.
• Indifference to public health; that’s not conservative.
• Underfunding the IRS; that’s not conservative.

Conservative views sometimes make sense, often not. Running for office as a Republican doesn’t make one conservative; don’t be fooled.
