Can you believe it?
- President Eisenhower was embarrassed by a scandal over a fur coat and one lie he told.
- After Richard Nixon, accused of crime, cover-up, and lying about it, left office in disgrace, a future President would do all of that and more and be allowed to tough it out.
- After Bill Clinton had to answer charges with documents and a disposition, a future president would claim immunity to any lawsuit.
- After watching Al Gore, presiding over the Senate, accept defeat, there is a serious concern that a future defeated candidate might refuse to leave office.
- That we would elect a President with no experience in government or the military.
- That a President would agree to cooperate with the Senate but not the House.
- Tens of thousands of Americans would die in a pandemic, and the President would not make action a priority.
- Many would claim that the First Amendment prohibits government action to protect public health.
- After vaccines have saved so many lives, many would oppose vaccination.
- That education, science and expertise would be suspect.
- That many would not believe news reports; that many would not believe what the President says.

40 % of our population is quite a large number. Some of them are probably in NY23. As a matter of fact, I have met some. And had interesting chats…to say the least.

We joined the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health this week to launch a free online course to train contract tracers who will help stop the spread of COVID-19. The course is available online and is open to anyone in the world, whether they are being hired to become a contact tracer or just want to understand the process.

The course is one component of a new initiative to develop a large-scale contact tracing program in New York State. The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, the top rated public health school in the nation, developed the training for prospective contact tracers, who will have to complete this course as a requirement for being hired by the State of New York to fight the pandemic. The course is also free for health departments in cities and states across the country and around the world to use as they expand their own contact tracing.
