I often see Reed supporters bragging about how much higher their take-home pay is nowadays. I have to conclude they’re lying, because I looked at the tax tables and, unless they’re all earning six figures (which seems unlikely hereabouts) they aren’t realizing that much in gains. And the other side of this is whether the deductions employers are making now are actually going to be high enough to cover everyone’s tax obligations come next spring. My own accountant warned me about that very thing.
