Every day, it looks like Hillary Clinton is getting closer to securing the Democratic nomination. That is one step closer to a Clinton presidency. Hillary Clinton, like my opponent John Plumb, worked for President Obama helping him create foreign policy that has endangered the lives of Americans. It is frightening to think that she could be our next president and John Plumb has endorsed her. Congress has released facebook ads sponsored by Russians. Surprisingly, the categories and the ads are very similar to Tom Reed’s political advertising. Here are the categories with my comments.
- Events: Some of Tom Reed’s meetings seemed designed to attract divisive protest which is featured in his advertising.
- African-American Focused: ??
- Immigration: ??
- Second Amendment: Tom repeatedly claims that his opponents are anti-gun activists, and falsely claims that responsible firearm regulations conflict with the Second Amendment.
- Heart of Texas: ??
- LGBT: ??
- Muslims: Tom has attacked “radical Muslim extremists.”
- Veterans: Tom’s advertising suggests he supports veterans while his opponents do not.
- Candidates: Tom’s advertising seeks to disparage his opponents by labeling them as extremists, attacking their character and appearance with doctored images, and linking them with Nancy Pelosi, Governor Cuomo, et. al. who are presumed to be evil persons.
Where I haven’t provided an example, perhaps readers will do so.
I might also have mentioned fake web sites, phony petitions, and efforts to promote conflict between Tompkins County and other counties in NY-23.

WASHINGTON — The Tom Reed for Congress campaign has revised the website it created to attack Democratic opponent John Plumb in the 23rd Congressional District race.
The site, formerly named DCJohnPlum.com, was changed late Monday or early Tuesday to redirect people to StopDCJohn.com.
And a link on the StopDCJohn homepage that had invited people to donate to Reed has been replaced by a “Get Involved’’ link.
However, Reed’s campaign still operates a DCJohnPlumb page on Facebook.
The Reed campaign’s original “D.C. John Plumb’’ Twitter account was frozen by Twitter earlier this month for appearing to impersonate Plumb by using the “John Plumb for Congress’’ logo with distinctive red and blue lettering and a small “for Congress” banner stripped under his name. It was later reinstated with an explanation saying the account is a parody. The new version of the account continues to have “D.C.’’ stamped over Plumb’s name in the account’s upper left hand corner.
Reed on Monday defended the fake Twitter account as “a good use of resources’’ that helps “to make sure people understand what John Plumb is about.’’

The “failed” foreign policy of Obama kept Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, isolated N Korea and severely punished the Russian oligarchs for the Crimea annexation. Also, did not commit thousands of US forces to a new land war in the Middle East and refused to use the US military as Netanyahu’s proxy against Iran. Worked with the EU and the rest of the world in developing global warming strategies and enhanced international trade. All the while deporting more Mexican illegals than any POTUS before or since. Some failure.

Interesting. I wonder if other GOP congressional candidates besides Reed use these nasty tactics that appear to have been gleaned from the Russians.

Only the lazy ill-informed voters would pay any attention to “fake” news ads. My 62 year Cousin and her husband voted for their first time for Obama during his 2nd Presidential election and then voted for the Trumpster.
Now they both complain that Obama sucks and now Trump sucks.
They pay absolutely no attention and know so little about politics and policy that they should not be voting. They are emotional voters voting on first impressions.
