2017 was a terrible year in politics

2018Sadly, 2017 hasn’t been a good year.

  1. Rash experiment with incompetent President.
  2. Appointment of unqualified cabinet officers.
  3. Presidency for profit ignoring emoluments clause.
  4. Corruption at highest levels in campaign and government.
  5. Stupid policy on climate change.
  6. Attacks on judiciary; nomination of unqualified judges.
  7. Attacks on teachers, colleges, and public education.
  8. Indifference to disaster in Puerto Rico.
  9. Bashing of responsible news media.
  10. Renewed reliance on voodoo economic ideas.
  11. Increased use of scientific gerrymandering.
  12. Increased hostility towards environmental protection.
  13. Backwards on Mideast peace prospects.
  14. Cruel actions targeting immigrants.
  15. Little effort to protect elections from foreign interference.
  16. No progress on control of firearms in spite of increasing domestic violence.
  17. Neo-Nazi’s, white supremacists, and KKK resurgent.
  18. Loss of important health care benefits.
  19. Unwise repeal of necessary regulations.
  20. Increased militarism.
  21. Unfair tax bill.

Best wishes for a better New Year!
