This poll failed to elicit much information; everyone who responded chose the same answer. I had hoped to learn how many who expected to benefit personally were nevertheless opposed. The first two comments left on the poll page do suggest that readers are motivated by the common good rather than personal gain.
The FLT poll asked readers if they expect to benefit personally; surprisingly, most said no. Perhaps most responders were graduate students or taxpayers who would be hurt by the repeal of SALT. Again we didn’t learn whether those who expect to benefit also favor the proposed reform.

There were no answers for my concerns so I checked Don’t know enough although it is basically not a tax reform plan.

Rynstone, I am sorry you didn’t find an answer that reflected your views. What question would you have wanted to answer and how would you have answered? I agree that the GOP plan is not reform–it is an attempt to justify largess for the wealthy with a pittance for the rest of us.
