Did Obama Tapp Trump’s Phones?

Let’s try the procedure described in the NewNY23rd article:”How to Spot Fake News

How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!”–President Donald Trump, May 5, 2017

  • Consider where it was first published?  It was heard on the Mark Levin March 3 radio program.
  • Is there a source? Mark Levin connected information from multiple sources, and came up with a conspiracy theory. It was reviewed in a Brietbart article.
  • Is the source reliable? NO
  • Has it been “fact checked?” NO
  • Is it aimed at riling you up? Yes
  • Beware of satire. (The Onion, Andy Horowitz) This is not a satire.
  • Does it have the “ring of truth.” Maybe, to some people.

Conclusion: Fake News

I think the process worked.

If Trump is making a serious allegation based on something he read on Breitbart it shows he doesn’t have the mental stability to be President. If on the other hand he is tweeting information which is from an ongoing FBI investigation, that goes way beyond stupidity into the realm of a criminal act.

Perhaps President Trump is only pushing back against criticism–whatever you say about me, I can just as well say about you.

David Remnick and Evan Osnos, writing for “The New Yorker” on March 4, 2017, note:
One of President Trump’s most consistent rhetorical maneuvers is a fairly basic but often highly effective one—the diversionary reverse accusation. When he is accused of benefitting from “fake news,” he flips the neologism on its head; suddenly CNN, the Times, and the rest are “fake news.”

You may notice that the Republicans are going out of their way to downplay any Russian connection with many of those on his campaign team. They feel that no investigation is warranted due to lack of evidence. Yet when Mr. Trump demands an investigation, then all of as sudden, this takes top priority. Personally, I am more worried what North Korea is doing. Anyway, I have often heard remarks that if Hillary was President and did these things, she would have been impeached by now. Soooo, why is their no movement to impeach Mr. Trump?
