The story, Reed added, “is really not newsworthy. I have nothing to do with that business enterprise.” That business enterprise is RR Resource Recovery, Tom’s family business.
Tom Reed was pleasantly surprised recently when he learned from news reports that his reelection campaign had rented offices from his family business. Of course he had nothing to do with that decision, if he had it would have been wrong. Still it was pleasing to know that his business partners hadn’t overlooked an opportunity to exploit unneeded campaign money.

I used to work in that building for a different business. Tom Reed was seen there on occasion. What’s he talking about?

I suppose Tom knew full well who his campaign was renting from, but he can’t admit he knew as that would have been wrong.

Reed said today’s “politically correct culture is limiting our ability to fight this activity.” The country needed to “make sure we are doing everything to take on this politically correct culture that is handcuffing us.”
Translation:
If they are brown, keep them out of town
If they’re a different religion, you must be racist a smidgen
If my wife’s income is made to seem wrong, I’ll sing the PC sexist song
If you’re hungry and poor, don’t knock on my door
If PC means I need to care, then being PC isn’t fair
If being closed minded is good, I’ll be the best Rep in the hood
If it gets me votes, I’ll repeat Donald’s quotes
Tom Reed is the epitome of a puppet.

To me being politically correct means not being rude–what keeps Japanese society civil. Why this is a problem, I can’t comprehend.

I asked what Mrs. Reed does for Tom’s campaign. There is no answer after several hours although facebook says Tom usually responds in less than an hour.

Funny that you should bring up Mrs. Reed. I will leave it at that. Rumors are flying.

Some of us have heard the rumors. They may be being investigated by some newspapers.

The popularity and meaning of “politically correct” has morphed through the decades:

As I read Trump’s and Reed’s attack on the term, it means: they don’t want decency or truth standing in the way of a vote getting sound bite. It means they’ll preach to those with the lowest in understanding of humanity. They hope to convince that all strides humans have made in ridding themselves of base thoughts and actions toward ” the other” are weakness.

Tom responds or his staff? Either way it’s unlikely you’ll get any kind of answer from either.
