A Republican nominee should “lose the primary to win the general without violating your principles.”--Jeb Bush
In Binghamton, Ted Cruz, asked about his negative view of New Yorkers, said that he meant only “liberal Democrats who are intolerant to the common-sense values of most of the men and women of New York.” What can he be thinking:
- Democrats outnumber Republicans in NYS two to one.
- The claim that his views are common sense is ridiculous.
- Most Republicans, let alone most men and women, don’t share Cruz’s extreme views.
- How is it intolerant to disagree with extreme right views?
Cruz must have written off New York’s electorial votes in an effort to win votes next Tuesday.
Cruz said his number one priority is jobs which he would create with low taxes for the rich. This is silly Republican dogma carried to an extreme. He attacked national educational standards, specifically common core, until recently favored by Republicans.
Cruz attacked New York Governor Cuomo and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio; presumably he has little use for President Obama. How does he think these officials were elected if the majority of Americans share his distaste for liberals and Democrats? Ted it just ain’t so.
