The Olean Times Herald reported about Rep. Reed’s Town Hall Meeting in Boliver. Here are the highlights:
- over riding any Presidential Veto,
- the Keystone XL Pipeline,
- Property Owner Rights and said “the decision to ban oil and gas drilling is all politics and we’re the collateral damage.”
- calls Social Security Disability a “program that is already falling.”
- has a new definition of “Catastrophically Disabled.”
- (Surprise!) Obamacare
BOLIVAR — Will a Republican-controlled Congress be able to move legislation with a Democratic president who has threatened to stop bills dead …
Reporter Darlene M. Donohue did a good job reporting Tom Reed’s remarks. Missing is any report of questions or comments from Reed’s constituents.
Reed’s audience in Elmira was subdued, even sullen, leaving the all too familiar points in Reed’s monologue unchallenged. But then these are Reed’s meetings so that he always has the advantage.

I’m glad to see he’s focusing on all those jobs bills.

All this raiding by the government going on! Should we all fear the government will take our first born next?
At least I read that Tom Reed is just fine with raiding taxpayer’s “hard earned dollars” for a few chosen people who took a risk on signing gas leases. ” You agree with me? Good boy, here’s your reward!”
Reed’s propensity to exaggerate notwithstanding, repetitive lies can seep into the collective mind. I wonder how many attended any of the three town halls on that day? Judging from the picture in this article, not many. And it seems, those that did attend – tried to sit a safe distance back from the spew.
