It’s Jeb.

Republicans will nominate Jeb Bush to run for President in 2016, here’s why.

  • jebRepublicans are generally conservative; the Bush brand worked twice, so they will try that again.
  • The money, eager for a win, will rain down on Bush.
  • Bush is a moderate, and only moderates are electable. Think Gene McCarthy and Barry Goldwater.
  • They won’t give a loser a second chance, so Mitt is out. So sad, Mitt.
  • The party that nominated John McCain and Mitt Romney is too cautious for extremists, so all the wackos are out.

Right-wing extremists won’t like it, but they have nowhere else to go. They may raise a stink, but will support Bush.

does that logic apply to Hillary ? ( won’t give a loser a second chance )

  2. pystew says:

Nice try, Bob. When wondering about who the the GOP nominate for President in 2016, William pointed out that they will not nominate Mitt, since they did in 2012, and he LOST. Hillary has never been nominated for President so she might be in 2016.

  3. Barbara Griffin says:

I, for one, am tired of both the Bush legacy AND the Clinton legacy. Both parties are old, tired, and corrupt. I would much prefer a Progressive ticket with Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Of course, “big money” won’t let that happen.

  4. whungerford says:

My preference is Andrew Cuomo because of his demonstrated success with divided government.

  5. whungerford says:

Former President George W. Bush said there’s a “50-50” chance his brother, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, will run for president in 2016 during an interview with “Face the Nation” host Bob Schieffer that aired Sunday.

  6. Deb Meeker says:

“We often say, ‘Let Jeb be Jeb,’ ” is how Mike Murphy, a longtime adviser, put it.”
Isn’t that what they said about George?
If, as they say, the apple doesn’t fall from the tree – let us go with William’s preference – Andrew Cuomo, whose well loved father, nicknamed ” The Liberal lion”, passed away recently.
