Here’s Martha Robertson’s first TV ad of the campaign. It tells some hard truths about Tom Reed.

Good commercial. I like the way it documents every statement concerning Reed’s votes.

I thought that was important, too. And I like that she didn’t have to lie about anything in order to make him look undesirable. He’s taken care of that, all on his own.

    I identify five vignettes:
    1. Everyone but us
    2. Corporate tax breaks
    3. Raise retirement age
    4. Raise middle class taxes
    5. Tax breaks for millionaires.
No. 3 should resonate with NY23 voters–seniors contribute significantly to Martha’s campaign. No 5 should resonate with NYers in general, but I am less sure about NY23 voters. The other points I think are weaker.

This ad captured my attention and kept it. Why?
I feel – battered by Tom Reed’s legislative choices.
I know – Reed’s votes were not good for “us” and were aimed at protecting Tom Reed’s ambitions, and enlarging his wallet.
I believe – that Martha Robertson will stand up for the NY 23rd district as promised.
