William, you do an amazing job of collating information. And yeah, I’m seeing a waste of time trying to counter fanatics. Perhaps I’m just as fanatical from the other direction concerning beliefs in the above list. Of course since it would describe ME, I’ll call it “passionate”.

I find the argument “you’re one too” to be childish. It often takes the form: yeah, but Bush did this too, Harry Reid does that too, the Senate does this, the House does that, etc. Often its silly: you say grass is green, and I say it’s blue, so we are even.

Yes, I was admitting to being equally “fanatic” ( or childish if you wish) at times. The temptation is to verbally smack, and when that feeling is reached I should just float away, not respond in kind. However that is neither my nature, nor would it give me peace.

Too many times in my life I have seen unresponded to remarks do further damage in the form of ” silence is agreement”. However, I will concede, that the majority of the remarks you listed above, generally come from those who are unreachable by my ability, or “passion”. I can only make them hate me more, which is of no use either.

Political fanatic? Possibly. Ill informed and seduced by corporate propaganda? Assuredly. That mind set scares the hell out of me. Thanks for the post!
