Late news reports indicate that the House of Representatives will reconvene for votes at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. And it turns out the 112th Congress does not turn into a pumpkin at midnight, December 31. Its term actually runs until January 3. So here’s hoping Rep. Tom Reed and his Republican colleagues finally get something accomplished. They have a little more time than we thought. The nation, the economy, and the constituents of the 23rd NY are depending on them to knuckle down.
