The Board of Election of each county had until November 30 to have the ‘Official Final Election Results’. That count includes the voting machine tallies, absentee and affidavit votes. As of Friday, five of the eleven counties had their official final results posted on their Board Of Elections web site. I have their results on the chart below. I will include the other counties’ results on this chart when it is available.
I only reported data for the Presidential and House of Representatives Races. The percent listed for each race is only an approximate figure. I just compared the data from the two major parties. I did not include the minor parties nor the write-in candidates. Go to your county web site for complete information. Most counties report the data from each polling district, which gives you a more complete picture of the election.
Please note that in Ontario County the data for the Presidential race was for the whole county, not just 23rd district portion. I will try to get that data this week.
Besides comparing how each candidate did in each county against their rival, I find it interesting to compare how Shinagawa/Reed did in comparison to the Obama/Romney. In most cases the number who voted for President is higher than the number who voted for Representative. For example, in Yates County, Shinagawa received 471 less votes than Obama, but in Schuyler County, he received only 13 less votes, In Chautauqua County, he received 41 more votes than Obama. In Schuyler and Yates Counties Reed received more votes than Romney. I will be interested to see how that works out for the other 6 counties.
